About Me
Ever since I can remember I wanted to be a mom. I’m the youngest of 4 and became an Aunt at age 9. I loved helping my sister with her daughters as the years went by.
But it’s not until you become a mom that you realize how overwhelming it can be.
I was born and raised in South Africa. I studied Health And Skin Care Therapy and at the beginning of 2001 became a spa therapist who travelled while working on cruise ships and in 2005 made Vancouver, BC my home.
In 2010 I became a mom and a whole new adventure started. I was blessed to have my sister and 2 of my nieces arrive a couple weeks after birth. They were amazing; they cooked, cleaned, took care of baby when I needed a break, they were my village.
When my child turned 1, I started a home daycare with 2 brothers aged 2 & 4 until I got pregnant and had baby #2 in 2013.
Once again I was blessed to have my sister around. She was like a fairy godmother and helped me navigate being a mom of 2. This is when I knew I wanted to become a Doula.
Raising kids is a passion of mine and after my youngest started Kindergarten, I had a wonderful 5 years working at a before and afterschool daycare, but the call to become a doula was too strong.
My heart resonated with the holistic approach of Wise Woman Way of Birth and got certified through them.
Being a postpartum doula and supporting families has brought me so much joy. Every home I enter feels like an honor — being welcomed into such a personal space and entrusted with the care of a family is truly a privilege. I am grateful for each opportunity to offer comfort, encouragement, and practical support during those early weeks and months of parenthood.
My love for working with babies naturally led me to Infant Massage. With my background in massage therapy, it felt like the perfect addition to my work. I completed my training through the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM), an organization renowned for its commitment to nurturing healthy parent-child relationships through the power of touch. IAIM’s program is rooted in decades of research and practice, promoting gentle, responsive caregiving that benefits both babies and their caregivers.
I am so excited to share this beautiful practice with families and continue supporting them on their parenting journey.
I would Love to be your Fairy Godmother
